Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ mobility, function, and physical needs to create meaningful treatment plans
• Deliver individualized therapeutic interventions that restore movement and reduce pain
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient-centered discharge planning
• Document progress and outcomes clearly and timely in the patient record
• Educate patients and families on home programs and safety strategies to sustain gains
• Mentor aides and support staff to ensure quality care and a smooth workflow

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in California or eligible for California licensure
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, or outpatient orthopedic/neurologic settings preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and manual therapy skills with an emphasis on functional outcomes
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Bachelor/Master in Physical Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of therapeutic exercise, modalities, and mobility training
• Skilled in developing and progressing individualized treatment plans
• Proficient in clinical documentation and electronic medical records
• Ability to perform safe patient transfers and fall risk mitigation
• Strong patient education and motivational skills to drive engagement and outcomes
