Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care including bathing, dressing, and toileting assistance
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the care team
• Support safe mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics
• Assist with feeding and nutritional needs, following care plans
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in patient charts and communicate with nurses
• Observe patients for changes in condition and escalate concerns promptly
• Promote a clean, safe environment by following infection control practices

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of California
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings (TB, immunizations)
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and flexible per diem schedules
• Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude
• Previous experience in a long-term care, acute care, or similar setting is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in bathing, grooming, toileting, and basic patient hygiene
• Competent with taking vitals and documenting findings accurately
• Knowledge of safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Familiarity with infection control standards and PPE use
• Good observational skills and ability to report clinical changes
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and clinical teams
