Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Nights, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Per Diem; schedule varies)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
Support residents with activities of daily living while promoting dignity and independence
Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient chart
Assist with safe transfers and use of mobility aids to reduce fall risk
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
Active BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfort working night shifts and providing hands-on patient care
Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude
Background check and any facility-specific health screenings as required

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Basic nursing and patient care techniques
Vital signs measurement and documentation
Safe patient handling and transfer procedures
Infection prevention and standard precautions
Effective communication with patients, families, and team members
Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
