Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during night shifts
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
• Monitor patient status and report changes promptly to the interdisciplinary team
• Document patient care clearly and timely in the facility charting system
• Perform routine assessments, wound care, and basic clinical procedures within scope
• Coordinate with RNs, providers, and support staff to ensure smooth handoffs
• Support patient and family education with empathy and clear communication
• Maintain safety, infection control practices, and facility policies at all times

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential — ready to practice
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain promptly
• Previous LPN experience preferred; demonstrated ability to work independently on night shift
• Current immunizations and ability to meet facility health requirements
• Reliable, professional attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills

Education

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program
• High school diploma or GED

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medication administration and documentation
• Basic patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
• Familiarity with wound care and common nursing procedures
• Strong charting/EMR documentation skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced healthcare settings
• Prior experience with night-shift workflows and patient safety practices
