Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in the operating room
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiology and perioperative staff to prepare patients and the OR environment
• Monitor patient status continuously, administer medications and respond to clinical changes
• Maintain strict sterile technique and ensure surgical instruments and equipment are ready
• Document patient care accurately and provide clear handoffs to post-op teams
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives to improve outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with eligibility to practice in Idaho (License/Certificate Verification required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Operating Room (OR) experience and demonstrated perioperative competency
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Current Fit Test and Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen as part of onboarding
• Up-to-date immunizations and screenings: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, Varicella, and TB screening (2 Step PPD OR IGRA)
• Completed Physical/Health Statement prior to start

Knowledge & Skills

• Perioperative protocols and sterile technique mastery
• Familiarity with surgical instrumentation and OR workflows
• Strong patient assessment and monitoring skills in intraoperative settings
• Clear, compassionate communication and effective team collaboration
• Proficient documentation skills and comfort with electronic medical records
• Infection control practices and adherence to safety standards
