Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and support to geriatric residents with dignity
• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Monitor resident condition and promptly report any changes to nursing staff
• Follow established care plans and document care activities accurately and timely
• Support a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents at all times
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure continuity and quality of resident care

Qualifications

• GNA certification (required) — Class listed as GNA
• Previous experience in geriatric or long-term care preferred but not always required
• Comfort working the 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM night shift and flexible per diem availability
• Strong communication skills and a calm, patient-centered approach
• Basic ability to perform physical tasks associated with resident care

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• GNA certification or equivalent state credential required

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of geriatric care principles and resident safety
• Skill in assisting with ADLs and safe patient transfers
• Basic infection control practices and proper hygiene procedures
• Ability to observe, document, and communicate changes in resident condition
• Teamwork and interpersonal skills for working with nurses and support staff
