Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding)
• Monitor and record vital signs and observe residents for changes in condition
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility support to promote independence
• Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate resident changes to the nursing team
• Follow infection control protocols and keep resident environments clean and safe
• Support individualized care plans and participate in team huddles to improve outcomes
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (valid in Pennsylvania) required
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred; new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
• Strong communication skills, reliable attendance, and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and resident hygiene
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
• Familiarity with infection control practices and PPE use
• Safe transfer and positioning techniques
• Clear documentation and basic electronic charting skills
• Compassionate bedside manner and effective teamwork
