Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ functional abilities and occupational needs to build a clear baseline
• Develop individualized treatment plans that target meaningful daily goals
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve independence with activities of daily living
• Monitor progress and adjust treatments to maximize patient outcomes
• Collaborate with nurses, PTs, SLPs and interdisciplinary team members for coordinated care
• Educate patients and families on home programs, adaptive strategies, and safety
• Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications to promote independence
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation to meet clinical and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy license in New Hampshire or ability to obtain state licensure
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy required
• NBCOT certification preferred
• Clinical experience in inpatient rehabilitation or similar settings is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL/IADL assessment and treatment planning
• Knowledge of adaptive equipment, splinting basics, and task-specific training
• Comfortable with common EMR documentation and regulatory compliance
• Strong clinical reasoning, time management, and patient-centered coaching
• Ability to educate patients, families, and caregivers in a clear and encouraging way
