Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to geriatric residents, ensuring dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
• Monitor resident condition and report changes clearly and promptly to nursing staff
• Support mealtime assistance and safe feeding practices when needed
• Maintain clean, safe resident environments and adhere to infection control policies
• Build positive relationships with residents and families to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

• Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Prior experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background checks
• Customer-service mindset with strong communication and teamwork skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• GNA certification required or completed training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic patient care tasks
• Knowledge of infection control and safety best practices
• Strong observation skills and ability to document resident status accurately
• Compassionate bedside manner and patience with older adults
• Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary care teams
