Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care for acute patients during night shifts
• Perform comprehensive assessments and communicate findings to the interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
• Coordinate patient care transitions and support discharge planning
• Respond to emergencies and escalate concerns following facility protocols
• Mentor and support team members while fostering a positive unit culture

Qualifications

• Current RN license (eligible for Pennsylvania licensure or compact RN) required
• BLS required; ACLS and other specialty certifications preferred
• Previous acute care nursing experience preferred (travel nurses typically bring strong med-surg or specialty skills)
• Active clinical competency in medication administration, IV therapy, and patient assessment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on night shift

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of acute care nursing principles and patient safety best practices
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and make critical decisions during overnight hours
• Teamwork mindset with strong collaboration and handoff skills
