Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the bedside
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care thoroughly
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members for coordinated care
• Monitor patient status, report changes promptly, and participate in care planning
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers while ensuring a safe environment
• Support patients and families with education, empathy, and clear communication
• Follow facility policies, safety protocols, and infection control practices

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted LPN license in Virginia (required)
• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
• Current BLS/CPR certification (required prior to start)
• Comfort with medication administration, wound care, and basic assessments
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass facility background checks

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical judgment and basic assessment skills
• Excellent communication and patient/family education abilities
• Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation best practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Compassion, reliability, and a patient-first mindset
