Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to assigned patients as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to facility protocols
• Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and report changes to the care team
• Collaborate with RNs, providers, and interdisciplinary staff to support excellent patient outcomes
• Document care clearly and timely in the electronic health record
• Support patient and family education, offering clear explanations and reassurance
• Maintain infection control, safety standards, and compliance with facility policies

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in good standing (state licensure required)
• Completion of an accredited practical/vocational nursing program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or equivalent as required by facility
• Prior LPN clinical experience preferred; travel/acute care experience a plus
• Reliable transportation (must have own transportation per assignment notes)
• Willingness to work evening shifts and provide weekend coverage as needed
• Ability to provide required return-to-office (RTO) items per contract for approval

Education

• Vocational or Practical Nursing diploma or certificate
• Active LPN licensure in the appropriate state

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and IV medication familiarity appropriate to LPN scope
• Strong assessment skills: vital signs, wound checks, and reporting clinical changes
• Comfortable with electronic health record (EHR) charting and documentation
• Infection prevention, safety protocols, and adherence to clinical policies
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Patient education, empathy, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
