Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Provide compassionate, respectful care that preserves dignity and independence
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in resident condition promptly
• Support safe transfers and positioning using proper body mechanics
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the nursing team
• Help maintain a clean, comfortable and safe living environment for residents
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families through attentive care

Qualifications

• State GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification or equivalent
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
• Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset
• Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of ADLs, infection control and resident safety practices
• Ability to measure and record vital signs accurately
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Safe resident transfer and ambulation techniques
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents and the care team
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
