Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents, supporting activities of daily living
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Perform routine tasks like bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect
• Take and record vitals and contribute to accurate resident documentation
• Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents receive appropriate nutrition and hydration
• Follow infection control procedures and maintain a clean, safe environment

Qualifications

• GNA classification / certification (Class: GNA) required
• Comfort working the 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM night shift
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred where applicable
• Willingness to complete facility onboarding, screenings, and required trainings

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Geriatric care and sensitivity to older adult needs
• Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
• Safe patient handling and mobility support
• Infection prevention and standard precautions
• Clear communication and teamwork in a clinical setting
