Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, respectful personal care to older adults, helping residents feel comfortable and valued
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly communicate observations to nursing staff
• Support mealtime assistance and follow individualized nutrition plans
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and resident interactions
• Participate in team huddles and collaborate with nursing and support staff to deliver consistent, person-centered care

Qualifications

• GNA certification or equivalent (Class: GNA) required
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working with geriatric populations and demonstrating empathy
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow care plans and facility policies

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic geriatric care principles and elder dignity
• Basic clinical skills such as taking vitals and reporting changes
• Good communication and teamwork skills with residents and staff
• Knowledge of infection control and resident safety practices
• Ability to document care clearly and accurately
