Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) to preserve dignity and independence
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Observe residents and report any changes in condition to the nursing team promptly
• Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to residents and families
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and vital signs
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification (or equivalent)
• Comfortable providing direct hands-on care for older adults
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work per diem shifts as needed
• Willingness to complete facility onboarding and compliance requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of ADLs, resident hygiene, and mobility assistance
• Basic ability to take and record vitals and observe clinical changes
• Familiarity with safe patient handling and infection prevention practices
• Good documentation and handoff communication skills
• A compassionate, patient-centered approach to senior care
