Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect
• Support safe transfers and mobility needs, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Monitor and document resident status, reporting changes promptly to the nursing team
• Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to residents and families
• Follow care plans, infection control protocols, and facility policies to maintain a safe environment
• Collaborate with RNs, LPNs, and interdisciplinary staff to deliver consistent, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (or state-equivalent) required
• Per diem availability with the ability to work night shifts (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Comfort working with geriatric and memory-care populations; patience and strong communication skills
• Ability to pass required background checks and workplace health screenings
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• GNA certification or state registry completion

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic geriatric care and common age-related conditions
• Comfortable with ADLs, mobility assistance, and safe transfer techniques
• Good documentation practices and attention to detail
• Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills
• Basic infection control and safety awareness
