Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, respectful care to geriatric residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Take and document vital signs, intake/output, and other routine observations accurately
• Communicate changes in resident condition to nursing staff and participate in team care planning
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control and safety protocols
• Support social and emotional needs by engaging residents and encouraging independence

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification or equivalent (required)
• Experience working with older adults or in long-term care preferred
• Comfort working overnight shifts and handling routine night responsibilities
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass required background checks, health screenings, and immunization requirements
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered approach

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• GNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and mobility support
• Knowledgeable in basic vital sign assessment and documentation
• Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
• Good observational skills to recognize and report resident changes
• Team-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication abilities
