Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect
• Support mobility and safe transfers to reduce fall risk and promote independence
• Monitor and report changes in condition to the nursing team promptly
• Provide compassionate, person-centered care that enhances resident comfort
• Document care and observations accurately and timely to support continuity
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to meet resident goals
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification in good standing
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to work night shifts (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Clear background check and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Practical knowledge of assisting with ADLs and personal care
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Basic observation and reporting of changes in resident condition
• Infection control and standard precautions
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
• Teamwork and clear communication with nursing staff
