Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents during overnight shifts
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility)
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes in condition to nursing staff
• Support restorative and rehab activities in collaboration with the care team
• Keep accurate, timely documentation and follow facility policies and care plans
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection-control protocols
• Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (required)
• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and any facility-mandated screenings
• Previous experience in geriatric or rehab settings is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a patient, compassionate demeanor

Education

• Completion of an accredited GNA program or equivalent certification
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with transfers, ambulation and ADLs
• Knowledge of basic vital sign measurement and reporting
• Familiarity with infection control and resident safety practices
• Ability to follow care plans and accurately document care
• Team-oriented mindset and good time-management during busy shifts
