Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team to support timely care
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility, following proper body mechanics and lift protocols
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
• Support mealtime assistance including feeding and documenting intake as needed
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through consistent, kind communication

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of Alabama
• Basic patient care experience preferred, new grads welcome to apply
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background checks and comply with facility immunization and screening requirements
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work 12-hour day shifts as scheduled

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and valid CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong basic nursing care skills including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding
• Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with nurses and support staff
• Understanding of infection control and safety protocols
• Ability to document care accurately and follow care plans
• Compassion, patience, and respect for resident dignity
