Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
• Support safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility assistance
• Monitor and document resident conditions, vitals, and behaviors accurately
• Communicate observations and changes to nursing staff and families in a timely manner
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Participate in fall prevention, infection control, and safety procedures

Qualifications

• GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification or state-equivalent certification
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfort working overnight shifts and adapting to per diem scheduling
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, patient-focused approach
• Ability to pass background checks, health screenings, and any facility-required onboarding

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of geriatric care needs and dignity-focused care
• Skilled in ADLs, safe transfers, and basic resident mobility support
• Good documentation and communication skills with clinical teams and families
• Familiarity with infection control best practices and safety protocols
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to follow care plans
