Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, respectful daily care to geriatric residents
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Support safe transfers and ambulation with proper body mechanics
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns
• Help maintain a clean, comfortable environment that promotes dignity
• Document care delivered clearly and accurately per facility guidelines
• Collaborate with nursing staff to support individualized care plans

Qualifications

• GNA certification / Class: GNA (as listed in the job details)
• Ability to work per diem shifts and adapt to variable schedules
• Compassionate approach and strong interpersonal skills when working with older adults
• Ability to follow care plans and document care accurately

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic resident care and activities of daily living
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Observation skills to notice changes in resident condition
• Clear communication with residents, families, and nursing staff
• Basic documentation practices and adherence to facility protocols
