Location: Bowie, MD
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (night shift; specific days not provided)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, respectful personal care to residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming)
- Safely transfer and ambulate residents, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
- Document care accurately and legibly according to facility policies
- Support mealtime assistance and monitor dietary needs as directed
- Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through clear, kind communication
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (or state equivalent) in good standing
- Basic life support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willing to obtain
- Previous experience working with geriatric or long-term care residents is a plus
- Reliable, compassionate, and able to work independently on night shifts
- Ability to pass background and health screenings as required by the facility
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved GNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable with personal care and assisting with ADLs
- Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling practices
- Strong observational skills and basic clinical awareness
- Good communication skills with residents, families, and clinical staff
- Dependable time management and documentation habits
