Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
• Support nursing staff with safe patient transfers and positioning
• Document care and observations clearly in resident charts or EHR
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team to promote positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Valid state authorization to practice in Alabama (or eligibility to obtain)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or able to obtain
• Current immunizations and TB screening as required by facility policy
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening per facility guidelines
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong teamwork skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care and ADL assistance
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
• Infection prevention and safe patient handling
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients and families
• Basic familiarity with electronic health records or charting
• Time management and the ability to work independently when needed
