Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding) with dignity and compassion
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Provide attentive, respectful bedside care and comfort to patients and families
• Document care accurately and timely in the patient record
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Communicate effectively with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) in good standing
• CPR/BLS certification required or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working night shifts and adaptable to per-diem scheduling
• Background check, drug screen, and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting preferred but newly certified CNAs are welcome to apply

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care skills and knowledge of basic nursing procedures
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and team members
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Awareness of infection control practices and safety procedures
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and remain calm under pressure
• Teamwork mindset and willingness to assist colleagues as needed
