Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered basic care to geriatric residents
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
• Support mealtime needs and ensure meal comfort and safety during night hours
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and resident observations
• Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff

Qualifications

• Current GNA credential or equivalent (required)
• Completion of an accredited Geriatric Nursing Assistant program
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and flexible per diem schedules
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to pass background checks and any required health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited GNA or nursing assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with resident care and activities of daily living
• Familiarity with geriatric care principles and dementia-friendly approaches
• Basic vital signs monitoring and documentation skills
• Infection prevention and safety awareness
• Reliable time management and the ability to prioritize during busy nights
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong observational skills
