Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
• Help with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility safely and respectfully
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition promptly
• Accurately document care, observations, and interventions in the patient chart
• Collaborate with nurses and the care team to support individualized care plans
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or completion of an approved CNA program
• State registration or licensure as required by New Mexico
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or able to obtain
• Comfortable working night shifts and adaptable to per-diem scheduling
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Reliable, patient-focused, and committed to providing respectful care

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Reliable knowledge of patient hygiene and safe transfer techniques
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with patient documentation and basic charting
• Understanding of infection control and standard precautions
• Good observational skills to notice and report changes in condition
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients and families
