Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and support to residents
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
• Support safe transfers and positioning, using proper body mechanics
• Document care clearly and timely in the patient record
• Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and the care team to ensure coordinated care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) required
• Active CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working overnight and delivering hands-on patient care
• Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care and comfort measures
• Activities of daily living (ADLs) assistance
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
• Infection control and safe hygiene practices
• Accurate documentation and basic EHR/charting familiarity
• Effective communication and teamwork on night shift
