Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding)
• Support residents with safe transfers and mobility assistance
• Take and record basic vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and resident needs
• Help keep the environment clean, safe, and dignified for residents
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Active CNA registration in Alabama or eligibility to obtain state registration
• Comfortable working day shift hours (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM) on a per diem basis
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills, dependability, and a caring attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and basic resident care
• Knowledge of infection control and resident safety practices
• Able to take and accurately record basic vital signs
• Familiarity with compassionate, person-centered care approaches
• Team-oriented with good communication and documentation habits
