Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Nights, 12-hour shifts (exact clock times not specified by the facility). Schedule notes: guaranteed ~36 hours/week, every other weekend (or 1 weekend based on seniority), plus 2 twelve-hour call shifts every 4 weeks. Night shift assignment with AM/PM 12-hour scheduling structure and yearly core schedules in place.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert, compassionate care to laboring and postpartum patients across LDRP and postpartum beds
- Circulate and/or scrub in the OR for cesarean sections — play a vital role in safe surgical births
- Titrate and manage drips (e.g., Pitocin, LR, Fentanyl, Labetalol) while monitoring maternal and fetal status
- Perform fetal surveillance and read strips as part of bedside assessment using EFM (GE Centricity)
- Respond to obstetrical emergencies including hemorrhage and hypertensive crises with calm, evidence-based interventions
- Collaborate with OB/neonatology teams and respiratory therapy for ventilator and Bubble CPAP support when needed
- Serve in charge/house supervisor roles when assigned, coordinating unit flow and staffing
- Document thoroughly in MEDITECH and communicate effectively during handoffs and multidisciplinary rounds
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) — OR license can be pending at time of submittal; 90-day emergency license can be requested upon offer
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience (per job posting)
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP
- Demonstrated experience circulating and/or scrubbing for cesarean sections
- Comfortable titrating IV drips and managing common OB medications
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and fetal monitoring preferred
- Ability to work night shifts and participate in call rotation and weekend coverage
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma accepted — BSN not required
- Unit-specific orientation completed for all new hires (12 orientation hours noted)
Knowledge & Skills
- Labor & Delivery workflows, LDRP and postpartum care
- Intraoperative support for cesarean deliveries (circulating/scrubbing)
- Electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) — GE Centricity experience a plus
- MEDITECH charting experience
- Telemetry interpretation and bedside strip reading in OB
- Familiarity with ventilator care and Bubble CPAP for neonatal/RT support
- Drip titration and hemodynamic monitoring in obstetrical patients
- Adherence to AWHONN guidelines and team-based emergency response
