Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to residents, following care plans and facility policies
- Administer medications and document treatments accurately and timely
- Monitor resident condition and report changes to the interdisciplinary team
- Support resident hygiene, mobility, and activities of daily living with dignity and respect
- Communicate compassionately with residents and families, keeping them informed
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to ensure coordinated care
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in New Mexico or compact license if applicable
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Prior experience in long term care or rehab preferred but new grads are welcome
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Strong communication skills and a resident-centered approach
Education
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- LPN diploma or certificate required
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and accurate charting
- Basic wound care and infection control practices
- Comfort with electronic health records and documentation
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Teamwork, reliability, and a calm demeanor during overnight shifts
