Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, ensuring dignity and comfort
- Assist with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
- Document care activity accurately and on time to support continuity of care
- Collaborate with the care team to implement individualized care plans
- Support a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
Qualifications
- GNA or CNA certification required (Maryland state certification preferred)
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willing to obtain upon hire
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Reliable attendance and the ability to work the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of an approved GNA/CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate bedside manner
- Basic clinical skills: vitals, assistance with ADLs, safe transfer techniques
- Clear documentation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary care team
- Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
