Roles & Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist during orthopedic, general, GYN, robotic and trauma procedures with attention to sterile technique
• Prepare and maintain OR instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field for efficient, safe cases
• Anticipate surgeon and team needs to keep cases moving smoothly and improve patient outcomes
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in Meditech and maintain clear charting
• Respond to call/standby assignments within the required 20–30 minute window to support urgent cases
• Float between surgery locations as needed, adapting quickly and professionally to different teams and workflows

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR surgical tech experience
• Comfortable scrub role in ortho, general, GYN, robotic and trauma cases
• Able to meet call response requirements (20–30 minutes) and work occasional nights/weekends/holidays
• Unit-specific orientation required (2 days) and readiness to float as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven scrub techniques and sterile processing in the Operating Room
• Experience with Meditech charting and accurate documentation
• Familiarity with orthopedic, general surgery, GYN, robotic and trauma case workflows
• Strong situational awareness, teamwork, and ability to prioritize in acute care settings
• Comfortable responding to on-call situations and working within a float pool
