Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with daily living activities
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility support, using proper body mechanics
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
- Follow infection control and facility safety protocols to keep residents safe
- Collaborate with the care team to support each resident's dignity and comfort
Qualifications
- Valid GNA certification/license in Maryland
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Comfortable working evenings and providing direct resident care
- Reliable, professional, and patient-focused attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an approved GNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with residents and team members
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, feeding and toileting support
- Familiarity with infection control, safety procedures, and resident rights
- Ability to document care clearly and follow care plans
