Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, skilled nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Perform focused assessments and monitor changes in resident condition
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists and support staff to create and execute care plans
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents and families to support quality of life
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper records in line with facility policies
• Support a safe, clean and respectful environment for residents and staff

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Alabama or compact state verification where applicable
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts and the posted rotation (3 on/2 off/2 on/3 off)
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing or rehab is a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well on a team

Education

• Completion of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program
• High school diploma or GED

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Basic wound care and monitoring of pressure areas
• Patient assessment and reporting changes in condition
• Familiarity with electronic health records and charting
• Time management, prioritization and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical setting
