Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing setting
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Perform resident assessments and communicate changes in condition to the care team
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and safe patient handling
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to deliver person-centered care
- Maintain accurate clinical records and follow facility policies and standards
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in New Mexico (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required or obtain upon hire)
- Recent LPN experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation preferred
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- Vocational Nursing Diploma or completion of an accredited LPN program
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation
- Basic wound care and dressing changes
- Resident assessment and vital sign monitoring
- Familiarity with electronic health records or paper charting
- Safe patient handling and infection control practices
- Clear, compassionate communication with residents and families
