Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents as a certified GNA
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in condition
- Collaborate with nursing staff to implement and follow care plans
- Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents
Qualifications
- Active GNA certification valid in Maryland
- CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
- Background check and required healthcare clearances
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting preferred
Education
- High school diploma or GED required; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with basic nursing assistant duties and infection control practices
- Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
- Comfortable assisting with transfers and mobility support
- Good observational skills and reliable documentation habits
- Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
