Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents with dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
- Support mealtime assistance and ensure dietary needs are met
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
- Collaborate with the care team to execute individualized care plans
Qualifications
- Current GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) or equivalent certification as required by state
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable working the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM night shift
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Compassionate attitude and strong communication skills with residents and team members
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- GNA certification or state-required nursing assistant credential
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of long-term care resident needs and safety procedures
- Basic clinical skills: vitals, feeding assistance, mobility support
- Good documentation habits and attention to detail
- Teamwork mindset and ability to follow care plans
- Time management to balance resident priorities during your shift
