Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Support safe mobility and transfers to maintain patient independence
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team
- Help with feeding, hydration, and maintaining comfort
- Follow infection control and safety procedures to protect residents
- Document care activities clearly and promptly to support continuity
Qualifications
- Valid GNA certification or equivalent required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Comfortable working evening/night shifts and providing hands-on care
Education
- High school diploma or GED; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with residents and team
- Basic knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling
- Attention to detail for accurate observations and documentation
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to caregiving
- Ability to follow care plans and work collaboratively with nursing staff
