Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with daily living activities
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe patient handling to promote independence
- Support mealtime assistance and maintain a clean, comfortable environment
- Document care activities accurately and follow care plans and facility policies
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure residents’ dignity and comfort
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification or equivalent required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to work night shifts (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) and pass background/health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited GNA program or state-approved training
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care and activities of daily living
- Ability to safely perform transfers and use assistive devices
- Familiarity with infection control and safe hygiene practices
- Basic documentation skills and attention to detail
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
