Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality general and vascular ultrasound exams with accuracy and compassion
- Prepare patients, explain procedures, and ensure their comfort and privacy
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, reporting any issues promptly
- Acquire diagnostic images and measurements following department protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical team to support patient care decisions
- Document exams thoroughly and ensure timely delivery of results
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and quality assurance standards
Qualifications
- RDMS and RVT required within 18 months of hire
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Minimum of 1 year of ultrasound experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Good time management, attention to detail, and patient-focused attitude
Education
- Graduate of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in general and vascular ultrasound techniques
- Familiarity with vascular Doppler studies and interpretation basics
- Comfortable with PACS and basic clinical documentation systems
- Ability to follow protocols and adapt to a fast-paced clinical setting
- Strong patient communication and positioning skills
