Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based respiratory care to patients of all ages, including neonates and pediatrics
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory care treatments and diagnostic procedures
• Manage ventilators and advanced respiratory equipment using best practices and safety standards
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions and care plans in a clear, reassuring way
• Document patient status, interventions, and progress accurately and timely
• Respond effectively to emergencies and assist with advanced life support when needed

Qualifications

• Current NBRC - Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
• Current Oregon Respiratory Care License required
• Healthcare Provider BLS required
• ACLS, NRP, and PALS required for GSR Respiratory Therapy roles
• Two years clinical respiratory care experience preferred, neonatal and pediatric experience preferred

Education

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent required; Bachelor degree preferred where applicable
• NBRC credentials as noted in qualifications

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of cardiopulmonary anatomy, physiology, and evidence-based respiratory therapies
• Proficiency with ventilator management and respiratory diagnostic equipment
• Skilled in pediatric and neonatal respiratory care techniques (preferred)
• Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient education skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams and communicate clearly
