Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate and navigate EPIC Beaker to ensure accurate lab documentation and results
- Coordinate with clinical lab staff to manage specimens and testing workflows
- Perform basic insurance processing activities related to lab orders and billing
- Communicate clearly with clinical teams to escalate issues and clarify orders
- Maintain accurate records and support quality assurance efforts
- Support a safe, compliant lab environment by following policies and procedures
Qualifications
- 1+ years experience working in a clinical laboratory environment (required)
- Hands-on experience with EPIC Beaker (required)
- Basic knowledge of insurance processing (required)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to pass any required background checks and comply with facility onboarding
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- EPIC Beaker proficiency and lab information system workflows
- Clinical laboratory operations and specimen handling
- Basic insurance verification and processing concepts
- Attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and QA mindset
- Comfortable using hospital/clinic electronic systems and communicating with clinical staff
