Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic X-ray exams with care and attention to image quality
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care during imaging procedures
- Position patients correctly and ensure radiation safety following ALARA principles
- Operate and maintain radiology equipment, reporting any issues promptly
- Review images for technical quality and collaborate with radiologists as needed
- Accurately document procedures, patient history and exam details in the record
Qualifications
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification preferred or equivalent certification
- Valid Georgia state licensure for radiologic technologists (or ability to obtain)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
- 1+ year of clinical imaging experience preferred; new grads with strong clinical training are welcome to apply
- Ability to communicate clearly, lift/move patients as needed, and work collaboratively
Education
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- ARRT certification required or in progress
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care and bedside manner
- Solid understanding of medical terminology
- Knowledge of radiologic safety and radiation protection principles
- Familiarity with X-ray positioning and imaging protocols
- Comfort using PACS and basic imaging software
- Attention to detail and ability to produce diagnostically useful images
