Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and functional tests to monitor newborn health and progress
• Create and implement individualized medical treatment plans in collaboration with the care team
• Perform phlebotomies and IV starts/removals safely and confidently
• Monitor patients' progress, document changes, and escalate concerns promptly
• Educate families on administering treatments and using medical equipment with patience and clarity
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compassionate, high-quality neonatal care

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Wisconsin (or compact RN license where applicable)
• NICU experience required — you know neonatal care and can jump right in
• BLS required; NRP strongly preferred
• Comfortable with IV starts, phlebotomy, and neonatal monitoring equipment
• Strong communication skills and a family-centered care approach

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Neonatal assessment and monitoring
• IV therapy and phlebotomy techniques
• Care planning and clinical documentation
• Patient and family education with empathy and clarity
• Ability to work in a critical access hospital environment and adapt to varying caseloads
