Location: Mount Shasta, California
Start Date: 05-18-2026
End Date: 08-17-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Nights 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM or Days 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, holidays required, possible 3 cut/call shifts per 13-week contract
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver expert emergency care to 20-40 patients daily in a fast-paced Level III trauma center
- Perform triage in dedicated room and manage your own patient holds
- Read strips, start IVs, and draw labs when needed using Cerner EMR
- Collaborate with house supervisor, MDs, and RT team on vents, CPAP, and high-flow treatments
- Float to ICU if needed while supporting all ages with widely varied diagnoses
Qualifications
- Active RN license
- 2 years of recent ER experience within the last 3 years
- Required certifications: TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS
Education
- RN required, BSN preferred but not mandatory
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in ER triage and patient management
- Experienced with Cerner charting system
- Skilled in reading strips and handling vents, CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow NC
- Comfortable with 1:4 ratios in a critical access hospital setting
