Roles & Responsibilities

Design and lead engaging recreational therapy programs that uplift patient spirits and promote wellness
Assess individual needs to create personalized activity plans fostering physical and emotional recovery
Collaborate with healthcare teams to integrate therapy into comprehensive care strategies
Facilitate group and individual sessions that build skills, confidence, and joy
Track progress and adapt programs to maximize therapeutic impact and patient success

Qualifications

Active Recreational Therapist license or certification
Experience in medical or rehabilitative settings preferred
Compassionate approach with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a correctional healthcare environment

Education

Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy or related field
Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in recreational therapy techniques and program development
Strong understanding of patient-centered care principles
Excellent communication and group facilitation abilities
Adaptability and creativity in therapeutic activities
