Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Design and lead engaging recreational activities that uplift mental health and well-being
Collaborate with the mental health team to create personalized therapy plans
Facilitate group sessions and individual interventions to promote recovery and joy
Assess patient needs and track progress to ensure meaningful outcomes
Foster a positive, therapeutic environment that inspires hope and participation

Qualifications

Active Recreational Therapist license or certification
Experience in mental health settings is a plus
Compassionate demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to engage diverse patient populations effectively

Education

Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy or related field
Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in recreational therapy techniques
Understanding of mental health principles and patient-centered care
Creative program development and group facilitation skills
Strong communication and empathy in therapeutic settings
