Roles & Responsibilities
- Sterilize surgical instruments and equipment with precision to ensure patient safety
- Prepare operating rooms for procedures, setting the stage for successful surgeries
- Maintain sterile fields during operations, supporting seamless teamwork
- Inspect and assemble surgical trays, contributing to flawless procedure readiness
- Collaborate with surgical teams to deliver exceptional care
Qualifications
- Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician or equivalent
- Experience in sterile processing or central services department
- Current BLS certification preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to infection control standards
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of sterile processing training program preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in sterilization techniques and equipment
- Knowledge of infection prevention protocols
- Proficiency in inventory management for surgical supplies
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
